Solo Female Travel Guide:
Layover in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Even though I spent less than a day in this city, I was impressed with what I saw. I didn't see as much as I wanted to because I had to catch a flight to Singapore later that evening.
For the last few years I've wanted to see the Petronas Towers and when I realized that I had an option to have a one day layover in Kuala Lumpur, I of course decided to go! I flew from China and then took a couple of trains to the city center where the towers are located. It was a very easy city to navigate in and the people were nice enough to give me clear directions on how to get there. I do however wish I stayed longer in this city because after adventuring for a few hours, there was so much more to see! If you have the chance to stop here then please do. The modern architecture is incredible.
DOs & DON'Ts:
-visit the Petronas Towers during the day AND night
-Go to the world's biggest sky bridge which connects the two towers together
-try the street food
-Take public transit from the airport to the city. It is very straight forward and there are many signs in english
-give yourself plenty of time to get in and out of the airport
-have a short layover here like me. Try to spend 2 days here at least if you can.
-Wait until the last minute to go to the airport and speed through customs and security like I did...
If I could come back in the future, I totally would! But this time for longer than a day. Make sure to check out my vlog.
