Best Coffee Places in SLC

BEST COFFEE PLACES IN SLC:

For living in a state where drinking coffee is not the norm, there is a surprising amount of good coffee shops in the downtown SLC area. I love warming up with a warm cup of coffee no matter what the weather is like. I wish I could all of my most favorite coffee shops but I didn't always take pictures at every place that I went to.

Location: Holladay
This is a great place not only for coffee but for tea. The atmosphere is cute and cozy so it's a nice place to study and edit blog posts. Want dessert? They also have the most unique gelato flavors.

Location: Alta Ski Resort
One of the best feelings in the world after a long day of skiing is warming up to a warm cup of coffee. If you aren't a coffee drinker they have one of the best hot coco I have ever tried. You can even ski up to the coffee shop which is convenient for those that want a quick caffeine break.

Location: Many several locations throughout the SLC valley
This place took a while to grow on me but what I like most about this place is their seasonal flavored lattes especially during the autumn season. They just came out with a Maple Vanilla Coffee and I'm keen to try it.

Location: Main St. in Downtown SLC
You can't miss this bright blue cafe in downtown SLC. Not only is it picturesque, but the coffee is so good! Lately I have been into their chai tea lattes and desserts. I feel like I am inside a cute cafe in San Francisco when I go in there.

Location: Redwood Rd. in West Jordan
This was one of my high school hang out spots and they have the BEST frappes and biscotti's! If you come here on a weekend night, then they have local artists come in and play live music. A fun atmosphere for young high schoolers and college students.

LA BARBA COFFEE
Location: Downtown SLC nearby the Gateway Mall
A super trendy and hipster coffee place. Their coffee is so good that it's best to drink it black. They have very unique cookies and biscuits that compliment the coffee nicely. I love hanging out here with friends for hours while we chat and accidentally have way too many cups.

Location: Few locations but my favorite one is the one in South Salt Lake
Best coffee, best tea, best jam, best bread, and just best everything. My favorite combo to get is a vanilla latte and a mocha bread with cream cheese and jam.

Location: Downtown SLC just down the street from The Gateway Mall
I used to only drink tea here but after discovering their lattes, I really enjoyed them and started getting them more often. They don't make very sweet lattes so it's for those that like mostly coffee and foam but it still has a great taste!

Have you been to any of these places? If so, what drink do you like to order?
Thanks for reading!

The Real UP House

If you saw my previous post, I mentioned the UP House as a thing to go see in Salt Lake City. But it was so cute that I decided to make a separate blog post so you all can see more pictures.

One of my most favorite movies that always makes me tear up is UP. A couple in Herriman, UT loved this movie so much that they decided to make a replica UP house into their own private residence. We didn't stay too long because you need to book photoshoots with them in advance but it was fun to stop here for a minute to admire this adorable home. If you want to book a photo shoot then visit their website http://www.realuphouse.com/

Travel Guide: Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

Travel Guide: Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

I currently live in Utah but my long distance boyfriend flew from Singapore to come visit me here. It was fun playing tourist in my own city :) Here are some of the things that we did and saw.

Temple Square

The #1 tourist attraction in Utah. It's a beautiful temple built by mormons and it is a place they go to pray.

The Pie Pizzeria

I recently went on a dairy-free diet but thank goodness my most favorite pizza place on this planet offers dairy free cheese!

The UP House

Someone built this house to look like the one in Pixar's UP Movie. It is so colorful and fun to look at!

Cafe Rio

Can't go to Utah without eating some amazing Mexican food here. The sweet pork salad is my favorite :)

Downtown SLC

Downtown SLC has a shopping mall called City Creek Mall, lots of shops, restaurants, and home to a lot of iconic mormon buildings.

 The Cheesecake Factory

I had to take James here to try their cheesecake. He got the Oreo one (my favorite!)

Capitol Hill

This is the easiest spot to find to get a nice view of the valley. I took James here so we could enjoy the view.

A big thanks to James for coming to visit me all the way from Singapore so we can make these kinds of memories together. What a sweetheart he is :)
